scream is a masterpiece It is funny, it is scary, it has amazing pacing and I could just talk about it for hours and never get bored and never stop There is just so much to love it has an amazing opening scene amazing killer reveals, and an amazing villain with an amazing voice and an amazing protagonist.

2. candyman

candyman is a masterpiece that explores its themes well, has great writing, an amazing story, an amazing villain again with an amazing voice, amazing pacing, and an amazing soundtrack

3. pearl

Pearl might be a little too slow-paced for some people but I think slow-paced doesn't mean bad or boring. it has an amazing story, some amazing kills, a fascinating and complex protagonist, and is a very interesting movie, and theres a lot to love about it.

4. scream 2

scream 2 is an amazing sequel it has a bigger budget and better-set pieces and has one good killer reveal and one bad killer reveal which weighs the movie down, but it has some of the best kills of the franchise and is the movie where Randy dies which was a bold move and made me super sad since he was one of my favorites, the only thing I dislike about scream 2 is the cafeteria scene its cringe and stupid. it has a great pace and is just such a good sequel.

5. scream 4

scream 4 is an amazing sequel and has one of my favorite killers, spoiler alert it's jill and she is amazing my second favorite right behind Billy and charlie is a good reveal but how he acts after hes reveald isnt that different or cool or unique. it has some awesome kills and does a good job of not following your expectations and my only complaint is the new characters are underwritten. I also love the opening scene and how it surprises you with it being stabbed.

5. X

X is super creative, super enjoyable, super bloody, and one of the best slashers I have seen in a while. it is very different from most slashers and is super unique. it explores its themes so well and made me sad watching it. and it is a horror movie that understands there can be no horror if there isn't any love, I love the singing part. the movie is super well-edited too. most horror movies judge characters for the actions that the characters make in this movie and I like how even though some of them die the movie doesn't judge them. I love how most slashers have awful and annoying characters. Still, this movie has great andwell-writtenn characters, sure we don't know a lot about them aside from the day this movie takes place but this movie is so well written and all the characters are slikablele I don't even care. the villains are also super complex and well-written and even though their actions are inexcusable you understand them and feel bad for them.

6. wes cravens new nightmare

this movie has something a lot of nightmare movies lack which is imagination creative ideas and great writing. it is a masterpiece and is super entertaining and I love it so much it and I love how meta it is

7. a nightmare on elm street 3 dream warriors

this movie is great and has one of my favorite opening scenes of all tind I love seeing these kids team up and beat the bully Freddy Krueger and speaking of Freddy Krueger he is immaculate in this movie and is at his perfect as*hole state. this movie has amazing ideas and great pacing.

8. a nightmare on elm street

this movie is a perfect watch, it has some of the most famous kills in horror, it introduces the world to Freddy Krueger the biggest horror icon of the 80s and is just such a good movie.

9. freaky

this is an amazingly bloody movie with some of my favorite kills of all time, it has one of the best and most fun openings in horror history and the rest of the movie is just as good, the characters are well-written and enjoyable which isn't common in a slasher. it has great performances and is one of the most fun movies I have ever seen.

10. Halloween 2018

a remake that is surprisingly a masterpiece and surprisingly better than the bad original, it has a handful of nice kills, it has great and well-written characters, and has Michael Myers at his best. this is a must-watch for slasher fans and Halloween fans.
