late night with the devil is a super creative found footage movie. it has great writing jack is a great character, the first five minutes is great, it is the best found footage movie I have probably ever seen, it is creative, creepy, fun, and enjoyable. it also has some nice kills at the end. the possessed girl in the movie is super creepy with an expertly creepy face expressions movements and voice, her performance is amazing. the trailer for this movie made it seem like the girl shows up at the start of the movie but she only appears at the middle of the movie, I would have preferred she comes a little sooner but its less realistic that way and the movie is building towards the possessed girl part. David Dastmalchian does a great job playing jack, and shows a wide range of emotions he has to be scared, mad, happy, sad, annoyed, and he does a great job doing all of them. I really liked the behind the scenes where the movie is black and white. I don't really like the ending though since It stops being a found footage and is filmed like an actual movie which didn't work for me. another complaint I have is you spend the whole movie waiting for this girl to snap and she only really kills for like 40 seconds which is a bit too short and i would have preferred her killing way more people but they probably didn't because the movie was very low budget. I also love how this movie doesn't rely on jumpscares

spoiler review/plot breakdown

the movie begins with a bunch of pictures with somebody describing part of jacks life and his TV show and how his wife died of cancer and how he stopped being respected after that and stopped doing his tv show for a while and when he came back he wasn't getting as many views, he decided to do a Halloween special with a psychic and a possessed girl. this is a great opening scene that I enjoyed. the psychic does his job and sometimes he seems legit and sometimes he seems like he's lying, which I like how they showed him lying. then the possessed girl comes and her caretaker doesn't want her to get possessed by the demon she is forced to by pure pressure. when she does she goes insane and kills people. and there are some great kills in this scene this movie has 5 kills golden chainsaw will be the throat slit lady and dull machete will be the psychic, but the kills here were shocking since I didn't expect it and It came out of nowhere, then jack runs up to her and stabs her and she dies.
